White’s Speedicook Ltd has been in Tandragee, Co. Armagh since 1841. Over the years the company has expanded and diversified its product ranges to become Ireland’s largest oat miller and breakfast cereal producer. Their oats, granolas and mueslis are stored in independent retailers and many leading supermarket chains such as Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Morrisons.

The Challenge

White’s needed a second weighbridge on site to weigh loads and alleviate congestion in the yard. The only suitable site was behind an old building, but it was not possible to dig a pit, so the weighbridge had to be installed on the existing yard.

Our Solutions

Our solution was to power bolt the six base plates into the existing concrete yard and install the weighbridge above ground. The installation of the deck took less than 2 hours. The customer then finished off the on/off concrete ramps and Globeweigh returned to install the electronics and verify the bridge for “trade use”.
