The Company

Mason's Animal Feeds is a family owned business manufacturing quality feeds for dairy cows, beef cattle, sheep and pigs. Located in the centre of County Armagh, Mason's mill is ideally situated to provide a full range of animal feeds to much of Ireland north and south.

Mason's aim is to provide their customers with top quality feeds, which include only the highest quality ingredients, at a competitive price whilst providing an excellent level of personalised service.

The Project

GlobeWeigh have been supplying and maintaining the weighbridges at Mason Animal feeds for a number of years. As part of a new mill being built Mason’s required 2 weighbridge’s to be installed. The first weighbridge was to replace a small existing one situated under current outlet hoppers. In addition it was to be installed over a  weekend. The second weighbridge was to be installed in the new mill - prior to other equipment being installed.

Our Experience

GlobeWeigh has been manufacturing weighbridges in Co Armagh for 25 years. We were chosen as the preferred supplier of the weighbridges as we had the experience to design, and facilities to manufacture, deliver, install and service the weighbridges for Mason Animal Feeds.

The Result

GlobeWeigh supplied two of our Eurodeck all steel weighbridges. Both were our standard 15m x 3m size models. The first was delivered and installed over a weekend to minimise downtime. Using specialised equipment GlobeWeigh engineers were able to move the decks into place as height was limited. The second weighbridge was delivered and installed as part of their overall building project within their timeframe. Once installed the Bilanciai load cells and Bilanciai DD700 indicator were connected leaving an output to send signal to the Mason process system. Our Weights & Measures approved test unit then visited site to carry out the verification.
