Globeweigh has recently developed a solution for the confidential waste paper industry. Previously the weight of collected waste paper was estimated or crudely weighed using handheld scales. With traceability ever more important there needed to be a better solution for weighing confidential waste.

Globeweigh were asked by Dublin based Confidential Shredders – PULP to develop a system for weighing within the bin. Several local companies said it couldn’t be done, but Globeweigh produced a solution.

Based in Co Armagh Globeweigh manufactures a range of industrial weighing equipment, and used their experience and expertise to satisfy the client’s needs.

Now the PULP operatives can go on site and easily weigh confidential waste by simply dropping it bagged or loose into the bin containing the weighing device. The weigh is read and recorded from a digital weight display at the side of the bin. Weights can be manually recorded and also totalised automatically by the display.

After returning to base the PULP operative can tip the bin without damaging the weigher.
