STL Logistics based in Mallusk Co Antrim are one of Ireland’s major transport companies and has been operating for over 35 years. Globeweigh have recently installed a logistics weighbridge with auto notification function.

The Globeweigh weighbridge was installed at the Mallusk to satisfy the requirements of a local dairy company, shipping product overseas. As part of the requirements specification the client wanted electronic notification and proof of weighing. The was achieved by installing a DD1010 weight display running on a Window CE application. This allowed Globeweigh to electronically transfer live weighing data to the client via FTP.

The system has streamlined the audit trail by reducing paperwork.
