Globeweigh has recently upgraded an existing landfill weighbridge at the old Derry City Council landfill site in Culmore. The landfill is being restored and the weighbridge has been converted to “unmanned operation”.

Authorised vehicle registration numbers are stored on the Globeweigh Aweighsys Software system which is linked to an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera. The system allows the authorised vehicles onto the site, ensures they are correctly positioned on the bridge via ultraviolet beams, weighs them and then raises the entry barrier. Full reporting is available from the software.
