Hughes Mushrooms are one of Northern Ireland’s largest producers and packers of mushrooms and operate one of the most efficient packhouses in Ireland. Based in Dungannon they currently market 150,000kg of mushrooms every week to the UK and Ireland and have been providing Sainsbury’s with mushrooms for 10 years.

We currently supply 4 lines to Hughes Mushrooms 3 of which are high-speed Bizerba GLM-I’s. These lines weigh, print and apply labels at speeds in excess of 100 packs a minute. The machines operate with twin heads which means they can either apply 2 labels at a time allowing for the main label and special offer labels or they can use automatic change over with one label to minimise downtime on long runs while labels are being changed.
