Derry City Council has recently installed a “drive through” platform scale to weigh wheelie bins in order to calculate average weights – particularly for mixed recyclables.

The scales have the load cells built into side ramps, thus allowing the main weighing area to be low profile with on/off ramps built in for ease of use.
